Death and Life is one of Gustav Klimt’s major allegorical works. The painting is held by the Leopold Museum in Vienna. The museum dates the work to 1910/11, with later reworking in 1912/13 and 1915/16. It is an oil on canvas measuring 180.8 × 200.6 cm.
